Opponents of transit density bill find an audience in Palo Alto – Link

Elected officials and community leaders band together to fight SB 50, but not everyone in the Silicon Valley enclave is onboard

More than 200 people came out for an event about SB 50 and Livable California in Palo Alto on Sunday afternoon, March 17 called “Do you know what Sacramento is planning for your neighborhood?”.  The event informed residents about drastic impacts on their lives and communities if the bill passes.

A straw pole at the event overwhelmingly indicated (200 to 2) that the attendees believed Scot Wiener’s “solutions” were wrong. The group showed the same support support for a constitutional amendment presented by Bill Brand (Mayor of Redondo Beach) to stop the onslaught of ill-conceived housing bills we are seeing.
